Description: Los cuerpos de agua son extensiones de agua que se encuentran en la superficie o el subsuelo en sus distintas formas. El cantón San José, presenta sus cursos de agua en tres distintas formas: ríos, lagunas, acequias y quebradas. Algunos de estos cursos de agua están a cielo abierto (de manera natural) mientras otros han sido entubados, pero conservan su cauce. Esta capa vectorial muestra los ríos Tiribí, María Aguilar, Ocloro, Torres y Virilla; además las quebradas Brasil, Bribrí, Chapuí, Lantisco, Los Negritos, Las Pavas y Rivera. Asimismo, los lagos de La Sabana y Parque de La Paz, y también la acequia Las Arias entre otras.
